    To apply for a Reception Class place at Green Park School:


    Please contact the school in order for us to record your child’s details.

    Twelve months before your child is due to to start mainstream education a “Sefton Primary School Admissions Information for Parents and Carers” booklet is available via the Sefton website

  • Green Park Nursery Admissions

    Hours:

    All 3 year olds are entitled to 15 hours free
    ursery education. For children taking up 15 hour offer Nursery hours are either five morning or five afternoon

    sessions. Monday to Friday 8.45am - 11.45am OR 12.15pm - 3.15pm

    Each session can accommodate 26 children*

    We do offer a limited number of 30 hour free nursery provision for those who

    meet the eligibility criteria set out in the government website.

    To register your interest for a nursery place please complete the ‘Register of

    Interest’ form available through the school office.

    Children are admitted to Green Park Nursery in the September after their third

    birthday. We will send out initial offers of places in February each year with an

    expectation to accept the offer and secure a place no later than the week after

    February half term. In the case that we are over-subscribed before this cut-off

    date, places will be allocated using the following criteria.


    ● First: Children who are in public care and are expected to still be in public care when admitted to the school.


    ● Second: Pupils with a statement of special educational needs where the Local Authority have named this school for provision.


    ● Third: Children who have a brother or sister living in the same house who attend Green Park Primary School and are expected to attend at

    their time of admission.


    ● Fourth: Child’s date of birth (older children will be given priority).


    ● Fifth: Closest walking distance from the school to any school gate.


    ● Sixth: Date Nursery application form was received.


    If there are places available there will be a second intake in January. The criteria in this instance will be as follows.


    ● First: Children who have a sibling living in the same house who attend Green Park Primary School


    ● Second: Child’s date of birth (older children will be given priority)


    ● Third: Closest walking distance from the school to any school gate.


    ● Fourth: Date Nursery application was received.


    If there are places available there will be a third intake in April. The criteria in this instance will be as follows.


    ● First: Children who have a sibling living in the same house who attend Green Park Primary School


    ● Second: Child’s date of birth (older children will be given priority)


    ● Third: Closest walking distance from the school to any school gate.


    ● Fourth: Date Nursery application was received.


    Once initial offers have been sent out on February 1st, any additional applications after this date will be placed on a waiting list in order of date of receipt of late applications.


    *Academic year 2021-22 – We have provided additional staffing which allows us to increase our allocation to 30 children per session on a ‘one year’ temporary basis.
